Satiresatire: a literary term used to ridicule or make fun of human vice or weakness, often with the intent of correcting, or changing, the subject of the satiric attack. In Taylor Mali's "The the impotence of proofreading" the satire in this is that he gets a spell checker but spell checkers change the words you trying to put with a word it thinks is right. Its more funny because not only do spell checkers do this but some cellphones do this too. especially when you want to talk slang and it corrects you by replacing your word with a word that you did not want to say. The title is a perfect example of satire because it says "The the" as if he was trying to refer to something. I read "FIFA Player Of The Year Ronaldo Almost Forgets To Thank His Feet" The satire in this article is that Cristiano Ronaldo wins the best player of the year and he thanks everyone but his feet. The satire in this piece is that they make it seem like his feet work with him. Like his feet do no belong to him there his partner and he does not own them. It also says that " Ronaldo's relationship with his feet has been tumultuous lately, as the young star recently blamed their erratic pedal work for the crash of his Ferrari 599 GTB last week." I found that even more funny because They make it seem like they have a relationship and its getting bumpy because they had a car accident together.
