The FightIn "The Fight" by Richard Wright the main character comes from Jackson and is attending a new school. he is not worried about the work, he is worried about the other students. He wants to fit in and not have to be picked on with the boys from his school. at recess the boys came up to him and were inspecting him, bulling him. One kid tried insulting him and the boy responded back eventually the boys ended up fighting. the main character and the other boy's fight ends up in a draw. The boy fought to make an impression in his new school, he wanted to fit in, He finds a ring and used it as a weapon and challenges the other boy in another fight. To me this boy got to confident about his fighting skills and since he got a weapon he feels like he cant be beaten. I agree with this boy but because his situation called for it, the boys tried to pick on him and it was a right thing for him to fight back but I don't agree with the ring being used as a weapon. If that was me and I was attending a new school it would depend on the other students my reaction to there actions. if the other students tried to insult me i guess I would have fought too. To be honest this has never happen to me, but I do know someone who has gone through this. My friend she started high school and she looks like a shy girl some one who wont fight back. She was alone and these two girls tried to pick on her but, my friend responded quick and aggressive. The girls stopped it right away but now my friend and her friends pick on the two girls who tried to pick on her.
